TONNAGE CHARGES ON VESSELS ENTERING OR LEAVING NEWPORT DOCKS

	PER GROSS TON (GT)	Part Cargo Rate per Tonne of Cargo
CLASS 1 On all vessels entering with cargo from or departing with cargo for any port in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man, Channel Islands and for vessels which shall not enter a Dock but shall receive or deliver passengers, goods, animals or minerals at or upon or otherwise use any of the works or premises of the Port Authority a sum for every Gross Ton/GT of such vessel.	£0.55	-
CLASS 2 On all vessels entering with cargo from or departing with cargo for any port in the Republic of Ireland and any port in Europe between the North Cape and Straits of Gibraltar.	£2.15	£2.75
CLASS 3 On all vessels entering with cargo from or departing with cargo for any port in Europe or any port within the Straits of Gibraltar, whether in Europe, Asia or Africa.	£2.96	£3.77
Class 4 On all vessels entering with cargo from or departing with cargo for all other foreign ports.	£3.01	£4.40

For every vessel entering from or departing for any foreign ports which shall not enter Newport Docks but shall receive or deliver passengers, goods, animals or minerals at or upon or otherwise use any of the works or premises of the Port Authority, a charge will be quoted upon application.

Dock Rent

If any vessel shall remain for a longer period than three days after completion of cargo loading or discharging, the rate of £0.55 per GT will apply for each period of seven days or part thereof.

Environmental Charge

For all vessels entering the Port/s (other than those accommodated at a Terminal which provides its own waste disposal facility) a charge per vessel entry of:-

•Vessels up to 3000 gt£34.25 •Vessels over 3000 gt£57.05

Wharfage on Bunkers

For all vessels bunkering at the Port, the following charges will apply:

Deep Sea £3.96 per tonne

Coastwise £1.98 per tonne
